Rahu Kaal

It has been noticed by almost each of us that sometimes a job gets done with in a single attempt or without any extra effort while at times we have to struggle for the whole day without any fruits;Repeated attempts are required. While analysing we find no reason and relate it to timing or something else we are not sure of.

Vedic astrology in India  describes the reason as far as timing is concerned. It has been advised not to start a new venture and even refrain from starting a routine job during this time frame which has been termed as Rahu Kaal (Rahu Kalam or Raahu Kala). Most of the Indians having faith in Vedic Astrology believe that a work started during Rahu Kalam will fetch unfavorable results.

Rahu Kalam is equivalent to one-eighth part of the duration between sunrise and sunset. So if we assume the average of twelve hours between sunrise and sunset, Rahu Kalam lasts for ninety minutes on a daily basis round the week.

Given below is an illustration of Rahu Kaal period on a daily basis wherein time of sunrise has been assumed at 0600 am. Rahu Kaal can be calculated for any place on the basis of sunrise and below chart of Rahu Kaal vela :

Day Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday
Rahu Kaal 0730-0900 1500-1630 1200-1330 1330-1500 1030-1200 0900-1030 1630-1800

I will request to test the timings on your own and analyse the suitability and effect wherein calculation of Rahu Kalam time slot will play an important role.
Wishing good luck and a smooth sailing life!!
